Relocating the Flock

The route this morning worked out really well. Our first stop was to pick up the flamingo flock in Alamo and relocate it to celebrate a birthday in Danville. For those of you readers not familiar with the Bay area, these two communities are right next door to one another. I should have taken a picture of the flock before we picked it up - someone had a great time with the birds before we arrived. Many birds were belly down in the grass, legs driven all the way in. Others were all in a bunch, as if they were gossiping about the one's laying down on the job. I'm happy that the display was enjoyed, but could do without the added work of straightening bent legs in order to plant the birds at their new destination. Since they were all there, I suppose I shouldn't complain.

We'll see what awaits us when we retrieve them from this lovely lawn tonight.
